The Weather Vane Painter April 2007

This one came to be while I was just messing around with an old, dusty Tombow. Some sort of mechano-rooster standing on top of an odd platform with strange mechano-flower things growing out of it.
As it was all in silhouette, it reminded me of that classic image of the weather vane, standing over rolling farmland with bright, morning sun rays bursting into the sky. So I scanned it and added some quasi-wrought-iron details to it, to concrete the idea, then went to work on a background.
It could probably use a little more polishing, but overall, it turned out pretty much exactly how I imagined it... even if it makes no sense to have the "N" where it is.
All of it was done free-hand with: A Dusty Tombow, A Tablet, Painter 8, and Paint Shop Pro X. All comments and critiques are welcome.
